Suspect in high-speed chase taken into custody
FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A 24-year-old man is in custody after leading authorities on a high-speed chase.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that an officer tried to stop a car at about 12 p.m. on Saturday for alleged criminal activity. The driver of the car fled the scene and led authorities on a nearly 30 mile chase. Speeds reached up to 130 mph along Interstate 94.
The chase continued to Valley City, where a police officer put spikes in the road. The suspect continued to try to flee and rammed two Barnes County squad cars before he was apprehended. He was taken into custody.
Charges in multiple jurisdictions are pending.
